THE CAUSE OF WEAK ANKLES

As the name suggests, weak ankles occur when the muscles around the ankle are not strong.  However, ankles can also appear weak when your glutes are not doing their job. One of the key roles of the glutes is to stabilize the pelvis when the body is moving. If the glutes are weak it means that excess pressure is placed through the ankles giving the feeling of weak ankles which can lead to injury and pain. 

To overcome weak ankles, we need to strengthen the core, glutes and muscles of the ankle and we need to teach the glutes to activate whenever the foot hits the ground so that the body is stable and the ankle is not over stressed.

Our Story

Noeleen has worked with thousands of people worldwide to overcome pain and injury, both in person at her studio, and via her work with USA Triathlon, USA Track & Field and USA Cycling.
